A new reality of the Lined Series is born to complete a slender, simple and timeless line. Urban architectural diversity is nurtured based on a pure, firm and infinite line.
ORIGIN AND EVOLUTION
The Lined Series continues to grow to continue giving continuity to the design philosophy that inspired the origin of this same series. Again, the simplicity of the design merges with the timelessness to create a totally innovative product.
The Lined II stands out mainly for its elegant and continuous lines to infinity, which gives this product a total integration of the luminaire itself with its shaft, creating a new aesthetic and innovative concept.
MATERIALS AND STRUCTURE
The Lined II luminaire is formed by a flat upper body of machined and anodized aluminum that acts as a direct mechanism for heat dissipation and structural element, while also being noted for its high resistance to corrosion. The lower surface of the luminaire is characterized by the application of a tempered glass closure capable of being vitrified with the shield of any city. Both elements, upper and lower, are perimeter wrapped by an anodized aluminum AL6063-T5 frame. This structural assembly is simulated through the shaft of the column that supports it, creating an optical effect of continuity very interesting in the observer.
Finally, the development of an optical system with HTS® technology has allowed to increase the final efficiency of the luminaire by 8%, reducing the losses due to reflection by 55% with respect to those market standards that apply a secondary lens system with closing of tempered glass.
The design strategy inherent in the Lined series is characterized by the combination of highly sustainable materials. Compared to injected aluminum, the high purity of Al 5754 aluminum facilitates its reuse by other industries in the future. The origin 100% natural of the glass makes this material fully recyclable and minimizes the environmental impact of its transformation process. Having the first European glass transformation line powered by solar technology, the carbon footprint of this series has undergone substantial reductions. Finally, after the last revision of ISO 14001, and the implementation of the sustainability master plan, SETGA has promoted the design of a long-term recycling system for each component of the Lined series.
With the Argon Pressurised System (APS)® Lined series’ optical and electronic components are encapsulated in a pressurised atmosphere of argon gas. A watertightness level of IP68 is ensured, making the system resistant to complete and continuous immersion far beyond the requirements of any regulation.
The inert atmosphere in the optical-electronic module guards against condensation, moisture and salinity intrusion, thereby preventing an accelerated ageing process of the system’s sensitive components.
This protective shield is essential in areas where air salinity is a critical lifetime factor for any optical and electronic component.
The ability of this system to preserve the lifetime, efficacy and chromatic quality of the luminaire reduces Up toal Cost of Ownership (TOC) and maintains high demanding visual comfort standards.
The Lined luminaire is based on the principle of direct thermal dissipation between the LED PCB, the compact aluminium chassis and the exterior. The luminaire body comprises a continuous heat pipe of anodized aluminium AL-5754, which achieves thermal conductivity levels of 160 W/metre Kelvin, compared to 130 W/metre Kelvin of aluminium injection. The low porosity of anodized aluminium plus a thermal pad over the contact surface between the PCB and the dissipation body significantly reduce the diode’s junction temperature.
The redefined composition of the optical system delivers a 55% reduction in reflection levels, a significant drop when compared with market standards that apply a secondary lens scheme and a tempered glass cover. HTS technology enables optical performance levels similar to those obtained with a direct lens system, increasing the overall efficacy of the luminaire (lm/W) by 8%.
Dimensions and installation
The Lined II is an evolution of the first model achieving total integration with the spindle of the column. Its thickness remains at a compact 31mm. Its length varies depending on the number of LEDs.
The anchoring system is integrated in the own luminaire , so that one of its pieces joins very rigidly with the column ensuring a perfect and permanent support.
The upper part of the column is placed posteriorly and offers the possibility of housing the driver there. It is currently available for 120mm diameter column.
