_ga 2 years Used to distinguish users.
__utma 2 years from the system/update Used to distinguish users and sessions. The cookie is created when the JavaScript library is executed and existing non-UTMA __ cookies exist. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics.
__utmb 30 minutes of play/update Used to distinguish new sessions/visits. The cookie is created when the JavaScript library is executed and existing non-UTMB __ cookies exist. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics.
__utmc End of browser session Not used in ga.js. Setting for interoperability with urchin.js. This cookie historically operated in conjunction with the __utmb cookie to determine if the user was in a new session/visit.
__utmz 6 months from the system/update Stores the traffic source or a campaign explaining how the user arrived at the site. The cookie is created when the JavaScript library is run and it is updated every time the data is sent to Google Analytics.
__utmv 2 years from the system/update Used to store data at a visitor-level custom variable. This cookie is created when a developer uses the _setCustomVar method with a visitor-level custom variable. This cookie was also used for the obsolete _setVarmethod. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics.
