A new footbridge with ornamental and pedestrian lighting has been inaugurated in the city of A Coruña. This renovation allows pedestrians and cyclists to access the Marineda City Shopping Center from the A Grela industrial estate.

This infrastructure allows citizens to access this important commercial area (which receives numerous visitors every day). Not only by means of motor vehicles, but also by walking or cycling. This Galician city is betting more and more on soft mobility and improving safety and pedestrian access to different areas.

The installation of a footbridge to avoid crossing with vehicles and the correct lighting of the pedestrian areas contribute to this safety. Precisely to improve this route for pedestrians and bicycles, SETGA has installed 65 units of HLP projectors. This equipment provides optimal and pleasant lighting for pedestrians and cyclists.

The HLP series is characterized by the combination of highly sustainable materials such as aluminum, which provides this product with an advanced thermal dissipation system. The projector is based on the principle of direct heat dissipation between the PCB-LED, the aluminum chassis and the exterior. In this way, the body of the luminaire constitutes a continuous thermal conduit of anodized AL-5754 aluminum that allows reaching thermal conductivity levels of 160 W / meter Kelvin from the aluminum injection.

Likewise, the low porosity of the anodized aluminum and the use of a thermal pad on the surface where the PCB meets the dissipation body contribute to significantly reduce the diode junction temperature.

This new A Grela-Marineda pedestrian walkway consolidates the A Grela industrial estate as a large, safe, sustainable and attractive industrial and commercial space. Thousands of workers and visitors come to this area in the northwest of the peninsula.
