A technology ahead of change
Pedestrians are the most vulnerable road users. In 2021, 301 people lost their lives as a result of pedestrian accidents, according to records of the Directorate General of Traffic. Despite the downward trend in the number of fatalities in recent decades, the number of pedestrian fatalities remains high. The interactive lighting of the VIAK collection, developed by SETGA, aims to prevent road risks and increase energy efficiency.

A new era for road safety
The Viak S01consists of a cylindrical shaft, made entirely of AISI 304 or AISI 116L stainless steel, with a standard height ranging between 4 m to 9 m. This element, which integrates a beaconing block with amber LED optics, acts as a support for the SIR sensor and the Lined luminaire. The upper body consists of a machined and anodised AI 5754 aluminium chassis, which dissipates heat and is highly resistant to corrosion. The LED optical module is immersed into an inert atmosphere of argon gas.
Interactive light to protect lives
The S02 Viak series is composed of a cylindrical shaft, made entirely of AISI 304 or AISI 316L stainless steel, with a standard height between 4 m and 6 m. This element integrates a beaconing block with amber LED optics, acts as a support for the SIR sensor and the Prudenza luminaire, made of stainless steel and equipped with an optical module with possibility of integrating APS® (Argon Pressurised System) technology. The finish of the ensemble is obtained through a thermos-lacquering process or through the aerographic application of two-component polyurethane. The use of these materials is aimed to mitigate the degrading action of highly aggressive environments such as coastal areas.

The Viak S03 series consists of a cylindrical shaft, made entirely of stainless or galvanised and thermos-lacquered steel, whose standard height is between 4 m and 9 m. This element integrates a sequential beaconing block with amber LED optics and acts as a support for the SIR sensor and the Essenze luminaire. The compact body of the latter, in extruded and anodised 6063-T6 aluminium, minimises the degrading effect of aggressive environments. Additionally, proximity of the anchorage to the column’s centre of gravity eliminates frontal tilting risk, so the mechanism has a high structural reliability.

VIAK S04 consists of a cylindrical shaft made entirely of stainless or galvanised and thermos-lacquered steel, whose standard height is between 4 m and 9 m. This element consists of a sequential beaconing block with amber LED optics and acts a support for the SIR sensor and the Celtika luminaire. The luminaire’s compact body of extruded and anodised 6063-T6 aluminium minimises the degrading effect of aggressive environments. At the same time, the great structural reliability of the anchorage to the column eliminates the risk of frontal tilting inherent to any large format.
Technological transformation
The rear structural compartment of the luminaire consists of an EN-AC-44100 (L-2520) injected aluminium body whose corrosion resistance is far superior to most injected ones on the market. In addition, its life cycle can be extended by means of an anodising process.
The top plate of the optoelectronic module consists of an anodised Al 5754 aluminium chassis, which acts as a direct heat dissipation mechanism. An R43 tempered glass seal is applied to its lower surface. The structural robustness of the installation, together with the minimisation of the exposed lateral area, allows the VIAK V series to far exceed the 150 N/m2 resistance established by the standard.

Innovation for a safe future
The body of the TSD luminaire consists of AISI 304 or AISI 316L stainless steel, whose purpose is to mitigate the degrading action in highly aggressive environments such as coastal areas. The interior houses an argon gas extractable optoelectronic module (APS®). This consists of an AI 6063-T6 anodised aluminium chassis and a vitrified tempered glass seal. By acting only on two anchors, the extraction time of this module is reduced by 90% from 30 to 3 minutes.
Functional merger
The body of the Erea luminaire is made of AC-44100 die-cast aluminum and has undergone a cataphoresis and thermo-lacquering process, which guarantees long-lasting protection against corrosion. Inside, S-235-JR carbon steel parts are used with a Zinc-Nickel treatment that provides a corrosion resistance of more than 1000 hours. Both the upper and lower elements are perimetrically encased in an anodised Al 6063-T6 aluminium frame.
