SUMMIT ON INNOVATION SERVICES IN CITIES

Stockholm holds a summit on Innovation Services in Cities to share worldwide references in the efficient design of urban spaces

Within the framework of the Living Labs Global Awards 2011 ceremony, Kista Science City in Stockholm hosted the Summit on Innovation Services in cities on May 12th 2011. A worldwide reference in the efficient design of urban spaces. SETGA was selected by an international jury from among over 250 companies worldwide as one of the most innovative companies for the design of 21st century cities, being the only proposed traffic light solution.
The aim of these awards is to find innovative technological solutions to respond to the great social and environmental challenges of today, especially those that affect urban environments. Cities, companies and experts from all over the world participated in a day dedicated to networking and debate on the most avant-garde projects, among which the traffic light system proposed by SETGA stood out. The SX system is a revolution in design and road safety: design traffic lights and LED technology synchronised with traffic light beacons that physically protect the pedestrian zone and complement the signalling in order to ensure order and safety. The aim is to connect the most advanced cities with companies that offer the most innovative solutions for our future societies. The prize consists of the possibility of launching pilot projects in these cities for the winning project. Living Labs Global is an international association dedicated to building transparent and stimulating markets for advanced mobile services, in collaboration with the industry, the public sector and the scientific community.
